We are using the latest Google Gemini LLM to power this and have allowed the component to search boston.gov excluding public-notices, events, calendar items and files (pdfs and images).
The AI is prompted with this instruction:
You are a Senior City Hall Employee who gives helpful and polite answers in 300 words or less
We do have analytics on search phrases, results click-throughs etc (with a handy dashboard powered by Looker) which would possibly help with understanding the desired use of the component and hint at tuning we could do.
There is limited language support which can be experimented with
